Diving with la Paz divers was ok, however we
We’re missing a lot of communication… like when is the boat leaving, how is the procedure on/after the boat, especially if you have your own equipment etc. Also the first guide we had for the first 2 days did just her job - nothing more. You could feel how she had no fun diving and just wanted it to be over and did not pass on information like food allergies. the second guide however was awesome.

We were a private group of 8. Our guide, who is a marine biologist , shared excellent information with us about the whale sharks before we dove in to swim along side them. Followed by snorkelling with sea lions, they were so playful, one was very curious about my diving fin as I floated on my back. We felt safe at all times. The cherry on top was ceviche lunch on the beach in a bay of shallow crystal clear water to warm up in the sun. What a wonderful experience!!

We looooove La Paz Divers so much that we flew back to La Paz BCS to dive with them again. We pre-booked 2 days of 2-tank dives this time and once again, we had the time of our lives. The winds were causing problems the week we were in but Jay got us out for two days with Daniel, Angel, Maru, and Roberto. La Paz Divers prides themselves on extremely professional, well trained, and well educated dive masters, who are passionate about the ocean. Thank you everyone!!!!
My husband and I booked a last minute trip to La Paz, BCS and found La Paz Divers online. We know what we like in a dive company…small groups, guides that love to educate, and an eco-friendly attitude that doesn’t waiver just bc client’s wants may differ. La Paz Divers met all of our standard expectations and exceeded everything else. As this was our first time to La Paz, we feel very fortunate that we found this gem of a company. The owner, Jay, was responsive to all my emailed questions and booked us in seamlessly through Paypal. Meeting at the beach was easy, Imran provided a day full of laughs, our fellow divers were no joke awesome people, the boat was shaded and comfy, and the team had all the gear we needed.
I tell you, we had the time of our lives for two days…a 2 tank dive on the first day and snorkeling with the Whale Sharks on the second. Scuba with the sea lions was outstanding. As US, East Coasters, we don’t get sea lion interactions often and these guys didn’t disappoint….zipping past as if shot out of canons, appearing as if by magic one second and then disappearing in another, flipping and flying, and then pausing in front of your face before racing away. Sure, we saw millions of other creatures too, like a million-strong school of needlefish, a moray eel, and the biggest puffer we’ve ever seen, but the sea lion pups stole the show. I’m sure snorkeling with them is fun too, but scuba dive with them if you can. There’s nothing quite like it.
Then! There was a secluded beach, in a secluded cove, in the national park, AND…..lunch…. homemade ceviche….made by the boat captain’s own mama. Pretty spectacular.
Our second dive was on a sunken wreck and we were lucky to have great visibility and an adventurous group. There’s not much that prepares one for swimming through a wreck, but Jay had provided flashlights, so we felt comfortable sliding through the large inner spaces. The angel fish on the wreck are the largest we’d ever encountered and we met face to face with a sweet green sea turtle that woke up from a nap. I was struck mostly though by the undersea river of baby fish that moved like a sentient cloud.
Day 2 was straight off our bucket list. We’d dreamt of swimming with Whale Sharks for years and finally hit the right season and location. The beauty of snorkeling with them in La Paz is knowing how protected they are. Jay and his team have been assisting with fostering whale shark education and conservation programs and works to help identify fish by photographing their “fingerprints”. Thankfully, there are rules to visiting the conservation area and the boat captains and guides do not waiver: check in at the conservation center, 3mph speed, only enter the water in zone 2, 1 boat per fish, max of 5 ppl in the water, and DON’T TOUCH. Kudos go out to these guides and captains for the work they do. - AND!!!! Oh my lawd!!! Nothing compares to the graceful magnificence of these fish! They hardly seem to move. Be prepared to put your fins to work and earn your next meal bc they don’t just hang about waiting for us to take selfies. It was worth every kick though, we assure you. They are as gentle as manatee but as long as buses and have bizarrely tiny eyes. Catch up with one! You’ll see!
Our hats are off to the crew on both days and many thanks go out to Jay, Imran, and the captains. No gimmicks. Good people. They love what they do and you’ll never regret a trip with these folks.

What an incredible experience. I would highly recommend this company for all your ocean adventures. Knowledgeable, made me feel very safe and the lunch was spectacular .

Oct 2022: Spent 3 days diving with La Paz Divers and have nothing bad to say. Jay has been professional, welcoming, easy going and prompt in his communication. He went the extra mile with us on bringing along great local food (best ceviche I ever had!) and explaining the marine life we encountered during the trip. Boat well maintained and had fantastic captains. Groups are small and dive sites are proposed but we can discuss and choose on the spot which dive sites to go, weather permitted. Thank you Jay and La Paz Divers for the wonderful memories!

Abel was a fantastic guide, and shared a lot from his background as a marine biologist. So much fun to snorkel with the whale sharks and dive with sea lions too. Thanks Abel and Roberto!

Had such a blast with these guys! The whale shark experience was a dream come true, and their attention to minimizing the impacts for the organisms was fantastic. I also highly recommend the sea lion dive at Espíritu Santo! Life changer! Our guide Abel was awesome and knowledgeable. Will definitely go out with these guys again! Oh and if you do the whale shark and espíritu santo in the same day, they provide lunch and snacks on a beautiful beach which was also lovely!!

Schade, schlechte bis gar keine Informationen, wie das Tauchen abläuft. Der erste Tauchguide war mehr als arrogant. Diesel auf dem Boot, der unsere (eigene!) Ausrüstung getränkt hat.

We had a great time on a full day boat trip whale sharks first and then the sea lions next and the beach with great ceviche and other nice food. Would recommend it and the price is right. I also want to say the crew was excellent and very informative.

Big disappointment, the owner is very profitoriented. First guide, Lea, did 38 minutes dives only ushering us through the rocks like a flock of kids, mouthpiece of my regulator and my BCD got polluted by Diesel on the second boat. Not even a "sorry ". Communication was very very poor. If it had not been for Maru, the second guide, I would have rated 2 stars only.
