We booked the package 5nights/4days with La Paz Divers Jason manage the whole thing for us perfectly! The diving crew Jennie, Abril (the divemaster) and Chino (the captain) were absolutely the best. We had 2 dives in the morning and then lunch (amazing ceviche) on the beach after for 4 days ! Thats was super cool !! Finally we stayed at Georgina and everything was perfect ! Some of the best dives I have ever been on! Sea Lions, Eels, Octopi, Rays, whale sightings, and so much more! The dive instructors and masters are so professional and kind. I've competed two dive sessions with the shop (with more on the agenda), and both experiences have been excellent. The staff are responsible, engaged, and incredibly nice both topside & underwater. I felt like I absolutely got my money's worth. There is a physical dive shop in town, but I've been able to schedule excursions with Jay (owner) solely through text, making everything super easy. Refresher Dive: The shop offers certifications through PADI including specialities and refreshers (if you haven't gone diving in a long time), and pro courses. My refresher dive was with Abril who I highly! recommend. We did 2 dives, worked on skills, then went to a beach and were provided ceviche, sandwiches, and fruit before we got back to La Paz. The refresher was very relaxed, and I satisfactorily brushed up my skillet. Specialty Class: My class was with Francisca who I also highly! recommend. The trip was in the same format as the refresher-- 2 tank dive, beach & food, return to port. I was provided with the eLearning ahead of time, and rental gear was included. I learned a ton and got fantastic guidance on my dives. On both trips, we stopped to check out wildlife. If someone spots whales, dolphins, or other exciting animals they will pause the trip to investigate. Absolutely worth the extra time, so call out interesting things if you see them! As with all shops and companies, the diving is weather dependent. There's always a chance excursions will be modified or rescheduled because conditions are poor. Our guides/instructors/captains all communicated with each other to find the best solutions, then asked us if the new plan was a good substitute. Be flexible, as every dive site has something magical to be found! In sum, great experience that I would recommend to anyone. You need to do that at least once in your life. I strongly recommend La Paz Divers for the quality of the equipment (full wetsuit 5mm, good fins, mask and tuba) and for the professionalism and friendliness of the staff (Eduardo, Santiago and Laura). We were able to snorkel with humpback whales, respectfully and non intrusively of course, which was amazing. Laura is personable, with a good sense of humor. Her knowledge added to our experience. She taught and guided my 3 children during their Advanced Open Water certification. She was attentive and explained everything in detail. They learned a ton from her and we would highly recommend her and La Paz divers.
